The Tarrytown Farmers' Market breaks the mold by setting up shop in beautiful Patriot's Park. The tents are located in the northeast corner, and naturally they're loaded with all the fresh fruit and produce you need for your kitchen.

Bread Alone -- these guys have great organic breads and pies

Where: Train Station in Hartsdale, NY
Parking: Parking is a real pain: you have to feed the meters along the street, and it isn't easy to find a spot (there isn't any parking at the train station).

Fat Cat Tip: to score a parking spot, bring your surly suburbanite attitude and a big SUV. You can intimidate those pony-tailed earth-people that show up at farmers' markets.

This is a small market, but it's packed with everything a Fat Cat needs: fresh veggies, flowers, baked goodies.

High Meadow Flower Farm -- fresh cut flowers and herbs. You'll also find them at Farmers' Markets in Nyack and Warwick.

Scotty's Country Kitchen -- fresh baked pies (the cherry crumb pie is delicious), big-assed cookies, turnovers, other mouth-watering baked stuff.
